Some drinks are duds. 

I’m not surprised this drink was a “forgotten cocktail”. It’s kind of a dud. A Palm Beach Special, with 2 1/2oz #gin 3/4oz #grapefruit 1/2oz #italianvermouth – shaken and strained (from the book “Vintage Spirits & Forgotten Cocktails”)
